In the beginning of 2009, I set myself a goal of watching 200 movies and reading 20 books. I reached it by 10pm, December 31, 2009. I suppose I’m one of those people who needs deadlines. And one of those who has no parties to go to on New Year’s Eve.
I made a list of the movies and the books, but I wished I had recorded more information. I am a librarian after all. This is why I wanted to start this blog – to record my thoughts on the movies I’ve watched, books I’ve read. I hate it when I forget. Sometimes I forget that I hate forgetting, and forget to do anything about it. At least now I’m writing it down so I’ll remember. (or typing it out. who writes anymore? when will “writing it down” be an absolutely obsolete phrase?)

I’ve set a more ambitious movie watching goal for 2010 – 365 films. But before I go into those movies, I’m going to try to recap some of the movies I saw in 2009, before I forget all about them.
